Welcome to the Gosport Half Marathon, brought to you by Gosport Road Runners and a venue for the Hampshire Road Race League.
Our last race was held in good condition, and we are hoping for the same this year.
It is a club policy that no Gosport Road Runner participates in the race. This maximises the manpower numbers available to cover the many tasks on the day. Our team of over 180 volunteers have worked hard to put on this event.
We consider it a way of thanking other clubs for hosting events for us throughout the rest of the year. Surplus profits from this event enable Gosport Road Runners to donate approximately £13,000 each year to local good causes.

Important Parking Information
Due to unforeseen circumstances, off-road parking availability is significantly reduced this year. Participants are encouraged to car share wherever possible.
We recommend using the Stokes Bay Road area, where five public car parks provide more than 500 parking spaces. In addition, approximately 100 spaces are available at the southern end of Grange Road, near the entrance to Alver Valley. All of these locations are within one mile of Race HQ.
Please allow extra time on race day, as payment is required at all public car parks and ticket machines are expected to be busy.
The only dedicated off-road parking available is at the southern end of Military Road, which provides approximately 120 spaces. These spaces are expected to fill very quickly.

Please plan your journey accordingly and allow sufficient time to park and walk to Race HQ before the start of the event.
Car parking in the Sports Centre, Browndown Road or Gomer Lane is not permitted.
There is also plenty of spectator parking along the seafront at Lee-on-the-Solent.
